    • John Smith Freeman lived to be 107. He was a teacher and a farmer. He farmed until he was in his 90's. When he was no longer able to drive a tractor he wrote a book of poems, took up water color painting and made art out of rocks found on his farm. He was alert until the day he died of old age. His many grandchildren, including myself, enjoyed listening to his many stories. [1]
