    Biography
    • We know that David was born and died young. David of Creich and Nelhers Rives Lord High Treasurer of Scotland He was the 1st of Creich about 1500  He was the Captain of Falkland Palace

It has since been found that James V was on his deathbed at Falkland Castle, while Mary Queen of Scots (1452 to 1587) his daughter was being born at Linlithgow Palace, Scotland.  She became queen when she was a week old.  Henry VIII attempted to betrothed he to his son, Prince Edward of England, in order to establish control of her Scotland.  This was known as (The Rough Wooing)

Mary was on February 8 1587 executed at Fotheringay Castle.  The execution did not go well for Mary as the Executioner was unable to sever her neck with one blow, and was forced to use a grinding motion on her to complete the task.  She was buried at Peterborough, in 1612 her body was moved to Henry VII's Chapel at Westminster, where she still lies.

Mary's beauty and personal accomplishments have never been disputed. She spoke or read in six languages, sang well, played  various musical instruments, and had a library which included the largest collection of Italian and French poets in Scotland.  The portrayals of her after 1571 largely fall into one of the two types:  Catholic martyr or papist plotter, making all the more difficult proper assessment of Mary Queen of Scots.
